August Briggs Winery is a family-owned winery in Napa Valley dedicated to producing very limited quantities of great wines. Our wines are carefully selected from vineyards across California’s North Coast counties. Owner Joe Briggs brings a quarter-century of winemaking knowledge in working with quality grape growers to produce our signature style of balanced wines with intense fruit character. Joe and his wife Sally welcome you to their friendly winery home in Calistoga.
We make a wide variety of wines, from smooth and fruity Pinot Meunier to silky Pinot Noir and dark, rich Petite Syrah. Also in our tasting room are the bigger red wines such as Zinfandel, vineyard designated Cabernets and Charbono. Joe hand selects vineyard “gems” to work with for each varietal. He maintains hands-on control over each small lot of wine that reflects both their vineyard source and our balanced but full-flavored style.
