Solar electric systems produce electricity, rain or shine. The solar modules need only a little light to start producing electricity and they will do so even when it's raining.
Most of the day's total output occurs in the middle six hours of the day, when the sun is at its most intense and when it shines directly on the surface of the solar modules, but once you own a solar electric system you will be amazed at how early in the morning it starts to produce electricity and at how late in the day it continues to produce.
