Cambridge School was opened in 2005 with the goal of providing the best value in quality early childhood education to the residents of Chesterfield and St. Louis County. With our privately-held, state-of-the-art preschool for children six weeks to six years of age, we wanted to create a small family community where the children feel just as secure as they do at home.
At Cambridge School, we offer a unique learning environment and a nurturing place that encourages children to explore their own active learning abilities. We support early childhood learning philosophies that stress the importance of play, hands-on learning and whole child development. We use a center-based curriculum that is recognized and taught by the University of Missouri. The children explore the centers and develop language skills, pre-reading, basic math concepts, and science through a thematic, center-based environment.
Our teachers facilitate large group, small group, and individual learning opportunities. Here, the children engage in creative questioning and problem-solving. They learn to share with each other. They form interpersonal communication skills. And they discover and expand their world through a truly interactive environment.
At Cambridge School, children get the support they need to spread their wings, allowing them to go further and achieve higher success in life’s many lessons to come, and they have fun doing it!
