BIOGRAPHY Georgeann Waggaman makes her home surrounded by the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and most of her work reflects this natural setting. However, you may find some non-Colorado scenes included, since Georgeann loves to travel and can't resist painting wherever she goes. Originally from the Washington, DC area, she moved to California to study at the Los Angeles Art Center College of Design. She graduated in 1965, majoring in Interior Design and Illustration. After working for several major architectural firms in Los Angeles, Georgeann discovered Aspen in 1973. In the typical Aspen story, she came to Aspen for a year to ski and fell in love with the beauty, the people, the big city sophistication and small town charm and never left. She is primarily known as an architectural illustrator and has worked on projects throughout Colorado, the East Coast, California, Hawaii, Mexico and Australia. Since 1990, she has had the opportunity to focus more on the fine arts. Painting in oils and watercolor, she specailizes in landscapes but enjoys painting whatever catches her eye. Georgeann also teaches watercolor at Colorado Mountain College in Aspen.
