We fit and dispense the most advanced hearing aid technologies and related devices to suit all types of hearing loss and life styles. We have a very unique way of fitting hearing technology. One of the most important factors in fitting someone with the proper technology is to consider their lifestyle. Every person leads a different life and has different needs when it comes to hearing technology. A rule of thumb is, the more active a person is, the more advanced hearing technology is needed to help them in diverse listening conditions. ?Additionally, most hearing aids are available in these 5 basic styles:?? •Completely-In-The-Canal (CIC): This is the smallest option. They fit completely in the ear canal, making CICs practically invisible.?? •In-The-Canal (ITC): This is the most popular option. Slightly larger than a CIC. At about the size of a dime, these hearing aids fit mostly in the ear canal so they are hardly noticeable.?? •In-The-Ear (ITE): These hearing aids are about the size of a quarter and fit in the outer portion of the ear and the ear canal. They’re easy to hold for people with arthritic hands.?? •Behind-The-Ear (BTE): A small, curved case fits around the back of the ear and is connected to the ear canal by an ear mold. Allows for more hearing power to be delivered to your ears as your hearing becomes worse. When Wearing Hearing Aids: ?*Your hearing in quiet environments should be improved. *Your hearing in moderate background noise should be improved. *? Your hearing in background noise is NOT going to be as good as your hearing in quiet. *Your hearing in loud background noise should be NO WORSE than without the hearing aids. *Soft speech should be audible, average speech should be comfortable, and loud speech should not be uncomfortable.
