Want to experience the truly classic New Orleans atmosphere? Hold your next event at Margaret Gardens, an 1854 Greek Revival Mansion with a lush 3,000 square foot courtyard centrally located one block from the St. Charles Avenue street car line and four blocks from the Convention Center.
You will enter the mansion into the stately foyer with its 14 foot ceilings, hardwood floors, majestic mirror and grand staircase.
To your left, The Ralph Lauren candlelight finish on the walls of the Magnolia Room reflects the light from the two crystal chandeliers and two crystal wall sconces. Margaret Gardens’ courtyard can also be accessed through the floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the courtyard.
Exiting the Magnolia Room and traveling down the foyer hall, you come to the Dragon Room, so named for the intricate hand-carved dragon fireplace. This room has a panoramic view of the courtyard and is a central location for food stations.
Straight ahead is the Courtyard Retreat and yet another atmosphere with its exposed brick walls, two fireplaces and three doors opening onto the courtyard.
The romantic French gazebo in our courtyard is a perfect setting for your wedding ceremony or an accent to any social gala. We also supply chairs, linens and tables for any event.
At Margaret Gardens, we are famous for our spectacular weddings and receptions. We can even provide our clients with wedding planning assistance and access to our trusted team of preferred vendors including photographers, florists, musicians, limousines, horse-drawn carriages and decorators should they require it.
The Mansion and its balconies can accommodate up to 100 guests, along with your buffet and bar, in the event of inclement weather. Or enjoy the courtyard regardless of weather conditions by utilizing our canopies and pedestal heaters/fans. Together, both areas can accommodate up to 300 guests. Parking for your guests for each event is provided in lots with NOPD security onsite for up to 150 vehicles. A small portion of your guests are welcome to stay at the Inn, and overflow overnight accommodations are available two blocks from Margaret Gardens.
