OKCS is proud of its long tradition of excellence in our preschool through grade 8 programs. Olive Knolls Christian School was established in 1979 to provide a Christian education to families in Bakersfield, Ca. Our warm and welcoming staff are always happy to give you a tour of our school for all or any of our programs.
Our team of loving, kind, spirited teachers and staff are excited to invite you to our program. The emphasis on our preschool program is to develop the whole child with the love of God and through the displaying of the Fruit of the Spirit. Our goal is to partner with parents in the development and educational nourishment of each child.
Our program consists of high quality Christ-centered curriculum in all subject areas, including the Bible. Our students attend the chapel, computer lab, and library, and partake in physical education during the week. We are accredited by both the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Our staff is committed to helping your child develop a personal relationship with Christ and excel in academics, character, and service.
Olive Knolls Christian School offers before and after school programs for students in Kindergarten through Sixth grade. Students have structured time for homework as well as chapel, crafts, and play time. Middle School at Olive Knolls Christian School is a nurturing and challenging environment. Students apply the knowledge they have gained in K-5 and use it to critically think about themselves and the world around them.
