Our office offers the following cosmetic procedures: crowns, teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, tooth and colored fillings. Below is a brief explanation of each service. Crowns are synthetic caps placed on the top of a tooth. They restore a tooth’s function and appearance following a restorative procedure such as a root canal. Dental implants are an alternative to dentures. Implants are so well-designed they mimic the look and feel of natural teeth, although they are typically made of titanium. Patients with dull or stained teeth benefit from teeth whitening, which is a safe an effective way to brighten stained, discolored, or dull teeth. Teeth whitening products, which contain peroxides, actually change your natural tooth color anywhere from five to seven shades brighter. If you’re interested in brightening your smile, have your teeth evaluated by us. In two or three dental visits, porcelain veneers can reverse years of stains caused by foods, caffeine, and tobacco use. Special thin laminates, called veneers, can often be used to correct discolored, worn down, cracked and chipped teeth. Veneers can also be used to close unsightly gaps between teeth. Fillings, known clinically as amalgams, are synthetic materials that are used to restore a portion of a tooth damaged by decay or traumatic injury. Gold and metal alloys are typically used to fill cavities.
