Since 1980, The Mission of The World Schools has been to nurture and enhance the development of the 'whole'* child from birth through grade eight, by advocating for comprehensive student success through quality, enriched educational experiences and by embracing the 'whole family'.
The World School is an accredited (NAEYC and NEASC), licensed, independent program for children of all ages for childcare, pre-school, elementary, middle school and summer camp. Our focus is on providing families with a continuum of year round quality education, care and recreation for children six weeks of age through Grade 8. This includes developmentally appropriate and academically challenging classes focusing on literacy, character, multiculturalism, enrichment and individualized learning.
Our Small World program (Infants to Pre K) is a state licensed and inspected, accredited (NAEYC) early education program designed to provide a quality, safe, vibrant and nurturing environment for young children ages six weeks to four years. Our programs feature low child/teacher ratios for personalized interactions; onsite specialists in Music, Sign Language, Physical Education and Technology; as well as separate playgrounds for infants/toddlers and pre-schoolers. Our Infants and Toddlers flourish with our developmentally appropriate learning and growth programs while pre-schoolers thrive in our enriched educational programs.
World Elementary is a private, traditional, co-educational program and is accredited by NEASC and approved by the NH Board of Education. Our curriculum is designed to exceed local and national standards to offer your child more learning choices and challenges. Kindergarten through Grade 8 feature an individualized, anti-biased, character-based curriculum rooted in peace education principles and life skill attainment. Our curriculum is consistently reviewed and updated with new learning theories and philosophies in mind to exceed state and national standards. Collaboration and critical thinking skills are emphasized while technology (1:1 laptops in Grades 4-8 and Interactive Whiteboards in classrooms) is integrated into lesson plans to prepare students for the global future. Our curriculum is seamlessly designed to prevent education gaps and is tailored to promote individual growth and development. Our high academic standards and low student/teacher ratio enables each student to have more opportunities to think and grow, and more hands on comprehensive information about the world. Our curriculum is further enriched with specialized instruction in Technology, World Languages, Art, Music, Chorus and Physical Education as well as elective classes in Grades 4-8.
